As some of my friends know, I have a passion for trees that resemble or pre-echo the design of Gothic vaults. This avenue I found near Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, leading up to Holkham Hall. Contrapuntal, don’t you think?

A bass in Venice

In December 2007 I bought an 80-foot motor yacht, currently moored in Seattle. She was built in 1930 of Douglas fir and is currently named the CREOLE.
